Cortex Privacy Policy
Cortex keeps gameplay on your iPhone. Nintek does not operate a Cortex account, analytics service, advertising service, or gameplay backend.
The short version
Cortex has no custom account or login, no Nintek-operated backend or API, no ads, no tracking, no analytics SDK, and no current purchase, subscription, or payment feature. Nintek does not receive your gameplay, settings, scores, achievements, advertising identifier, or Apple Account credentials through the app.
Cortex can use Apple services you control: private iCloud key-value storage for Sudoku statistics, an App Group for its own widgets, and optional Game Center for Apple-managed player identity, leaderboards, and achievements. Apple processes those services under Apple’s terms and privacy practices.
Information Nintek receives
The Cortex app does not send personal information or gameplay data toNintek. If you email us, we receive the address and information you choose to include so we can respond. Cortex does not automatically attach local game data, your Apple Account, or your Game Center profile to a support message.
Data stored on your iPhone
Cortex stores game progress, active runs, settings, play history, statistics, records, and pending Game Center submissions locally with Apple’s UserDefaults and Codable storage APIs. This data remains inside the app’s storage on your iPhone unless an Apple service described below handles a limited copy. Nintek does not receive a server copy.
Cortex does not request access to your location, contacts, camera, microphone, photo library, or notifications. It uses Apple’s haptic frameworks for supported gameplay feedback without requesting a sensitive-data permission.
Private iCloud key-value storage
Cortex writes Sudoku statistics, including difficulty results, streaks, times, and recent games, to Apple’s private iCloud key-value store when you are signed in to iCloud and the service is available. A local copy is also kept on the iPhone. This is limited Sudoku-statistics sync; Cortex does not claim that every game’s data or active run syncs through iCloud.
Apple associates the private store with your Apple Account and controls its transport, availability, and retention. Nintek does not operate the iCloud service and cannot inspect, merge, restore, or delete data in your Apple Account. You can manage which apps use iCloud in Apple Settings.
Widgets and App Group data
Cortex writes a compact snapshot to its private App Group so the Cortex Quick Launch and Stats widgets can show a selected game, total plays, time played, games tried, and progress toward an achievement. The App Group is shared only by Cortex and its own widget extension. It is not a Nintek server and does not transmit the snapshot to Nintek.
You choose whether to add or remove a Cortex widget through Apple’s Home Screen interfaces. Removing a widget stops it from appearing but does not by itself erase Cortex’s local app data.
Optional Apple Game Center
Cortex remains playable without a Cortex account and without using Game Center. If you use Game Center, Apple authenticates the local player and handles the player name, Game Center identifier, leaderboards, scores, achievements, and related profile activity. Cortex may keep pending scores and achievement progress locally until Apple’s service is available.
Nintek does not receive your Apple Account password or operate the Game Center account system. Game Center records are controlled by Apple and may remain in your Apple Account after Cortex is deleted.
Advertising, analytics, tracking, and payments
Cortex contains no advertising SDK, analytics SDK, tracking SDK, or third-party payment SDK. It does not track you across other companies’ apps or websites. There are currently no in-app purchases, subscriptions, paid upgrades, or external payment links in Cortex.
Third-party notices and content provenance
Cortex ships no third-party SDKs. Its in-app Content & Provenance screen identifies the retained ENABLE-derived Wordfoundry corpus and the first-party or owner-attested sources used for visual content, including six owner-generated GPT-Image-2 sheets. The canonical notices and machine-readable provenance record are bundled with the app and can be exported from that screen.
The former OpenMoji-derived Pixel Flow content was removed and does not ship in the current remediation build. Content notices describe source and rights records; opening the games does not contact those content providers.
Retention, reset, and deletion
Local game data remains on your iPhone until Cortex changes it or you delete the app. A game’s restart or reset control starts a new board or run; it is not an erase-all privacy control. Cortex currently has no single in-app control that removes every local preference, statistic, saved run, and widget snapshot.
Deleting Cortex removes its on-device app and App Group data from that iPhone. It does not delete your Apple Account, Game Center profile, leaderboards, achievements, or Apple-held iCloud data. If private iCloud Sudoku statistics remain available, they may return after reinstalling Cortex. Use Apple’s iCloud and Game Center controls for Apple-held data; Nintek cannot perform that deletion for you.
Support correspondence may be retained as needed to answer the request, document the issue, meet legal obligations, or protect the service. You may ask us to delete support correspondence, subject to applicable legal or security requirements.

Children and regional privacy rights
Cortex is a general-audience game collection. It does not knowingly send a child’s personal information or gameplay to a Nintek service. Apple’s age, family, consent, and account controls apply when a child uses iCloud or Game Center.
Privacy laws in your region may provide rights over personal information a business holds. Nintek does not hold Cortex gameplay or Apple-service account data. If you believe we hold personal information in support correspondence, contact us so we can review the request. Requests about an Apple Account, iCloud, or Game Center must be directed to Apple.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy if Cortex, Apple service integrations, or our data practices change. The version and effective date at the top identify the policy currently published for Cortex.
